Jurassic Park Advanced Operation Genesis
there are 20 different dinos in operation genesis, including the triceratops, the stegosaurus, and the velociraptor. all of the dinosaurs are animated by foot, so they move around the map using a creature walk pattern (the game does not have the ability to change a dinosaur's movement pattern, like in tmnt, because it would be difficult to maintain the animations for every dinosaur in the game). all of the dinosaurs will take damage and die if they are attacked, but they can also be injured by other dinosaurs, so you'll need to monitor their health and protect them. with the exception of the triceratops, all of the dinosaurs have attack patterns that are different from one another, so you can use this knowledge to your advantage. the stegosaurus, for instance, will charge at you from the side, and the velociraptor will charge at you from the front and back. the velociraptor will also attack you in the air. you can also make your dinosaurs aggressive by giving them a rank that increases their attack speed.
operation genesis uses an isometric, top-down view, like the first two games in the series. the game also features a two-player mode, where you can play the game cooperatively with a friend. if you have a ps2, you can also connect to the internet and play the game using online multiplayer. as in the first two games in the series, you can create a diary to record your dinosaur park's history, and your achievements are listed here. there is also a community feature to allow other players to rate your park, adding to the pressure you feel to have a successful park.
